This is an indicator included within the Local Government Benchmarking Framework (LGBF). The Benchmark Target is the average of Dundee City Council's family group of similar local authorities.

Given the significance of this major policy agenda for local government, it is important that the LGBF includes measures which support Local Government in its efforts to contribute to national carbon reduction targets. The Council declared a climate change emergency and set a target to become carbon neutral by 2040 and achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045.
