Update on Riverside Recycling Centre

Due to an ongoing incident caused by fire in the garden waste area at Riverside composting facility, Riverside Household Waste Recycling Centre will remain closed until further notice.
Dundee City Council is working closely with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) as the effort continues to bring the situation to a safe conclusion.
SFRS have stated that this will be a protracted incident.
Regular updates are being posted on the council’s social media channels and website. These have highlighted SFRS advice for people to keep windows and doors shut because of drifting smoke.
The council has been in contact with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency about the situation.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank people for their ongoing cooperation and patience.
Alternative recycling facilities are available at Baldovie HWRC. Details online here
