Spring Concerts next week will give people the chance to hear some of the musical talent that is being encouraged across city council schools.

Dundee Schools Bands and Orchestras and Dundee Schools Music Theatre are delighted to return to the Caird Hall as part of the venue’s 100 Year celebrations.

Two concerts will take place on Tuesday March 21 and Wednesday March 22 at 7pm.

Pupils from Dundee primary and secondary schools will come together to perform in groups including the Junior String Orchestra, Rock Band, Ceol Dun Deagh and the Senior Wind Ensemble.

These young performers will present a wide variety of music ranging from Lionel Ritchie to Mahler.

City Council children and families convener Councillor Stewart Hunter said: “These concerts are a celebration of the young talent that is being developed in our schools.

“It is always a pleasure to hear such a wide variety of styles and I would encourage anyone with an interest in music to come along to the Caird Hall.”
