State Funeral Closures Monday September 19

State Funeral Closures Monday September 19 Image

All Dundee City Council nurseries and schools will be closed on Monday September 19, the day of the State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen.

Council offices will also be closed on Monday, which is a bank holiday to mark the last day of the period of National Mourning, and only emergency and critical cover will be provided.

All waste collections will also be suspended that day, with uplifts taking place on Tuesday to Saturday instead.

Bins should be put out at the kerb a day later than the usual scheduled collection. Please leave your bin out until collected, waste teams will aim to uplift your bin at the earliest opportunity and we ask for your patience at this time.

The meals service will operate as normal.

Emergency out of hours contacts will be maintained. Details can be found here.

Services will resume on Tuesday September 20, and nurseries, schools and offices will reopen.
