Money Matters - benefits, welfare advice and debt

The Veterans Welfare Service, Veterans UK, provides statutory support to the veteran community and can assist you with queries about war pensions and other schemes:

• if you have any questions about your Armed Forces Pension, you can call the Veterans UK Helpline on 0800 085 3600
• if you have been injured as a result of your service, you can seek advice on the War Pension or Armed Forces Compensation Schemes.  Call 0141 224 2709, email Veterans-UK-VWS-Scot-NI@mod.uk or visit the website https://www.gov.uk/government/groups/veterans-welfare-service.

The service can also advocate on your behalf and signpost you to other sources of advice and assistance.

The Armed Services Advice Project (ASAP) is a service provided by the Citizens Advice Bureau which provides free, impartial, dedicated information, advice and support to members of the Armed Forces Community in Scotland.  The service covers a range of areas, including benefits, debt, employment, relationships and housing.
