  • Trades Lane (junction with Seagate)

    closed for 6 weeks for development works.

  • Mains Loan (A90 Kingsway for a distance of 522m in a northerly direction) and Caird Park east access road (A90 Forfar Road for a distance of 421m in a westerly direction)

    closed for 2 weeks for carriageway resurfacing.

  • James Street (full length)

    closed for one week for sewer works.

  • Harcourt Street

    closed for one week for sewer and water connections.

  • Fairmuir Road

    temporary traffic lights from until mid-week for BT work.

  • Provost Road (Clepington Road to Fleming Gardens West)

    closed southbound for one week for emergency gas main repairs.

  • Strathmartine Road (A90 Kingsway to Gilburn Road)

    closed from Monday 19 August for 10 working days for carriageway resurfacing.

  • A92 East Dock Street (Gallacher Retail Park to Broughty Ferry Road)

    closed eastbound overnight (7.30pm - 6.30am) and lane closures westbound from Monday 19 August for 4 nights for utility works.

  • Dykes of Gray Road

    temporary traffic lights for one week for BT works.

  • Court Street

    temporary traffic lights for one week for BT works.

    closed on Monday 26 August for 3 weeks for footway works.

    overnight (9.00pm – 6.00am) eastbound closure on Monday 2 September for BT works.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
