  • Constable Street (westbound St Roques Lane to Dens Street) and St Roques Lane

    closed for 10 weeks for facilitating development works.

  • Finavon Street (Fintry Road to Fintry Drive) and Fintry Road (Fintry Drive for 35m south)

    Finavon Street will be closed in several sections, one section at a time, for one week for facilitating works for a new housing development.

  • Dens Street (Constable Street to Princes Street)

    closed for 27 weeks for hotel development works.

  • Earl Grey Place West

    closed for 48 weeks for site development works.

  • Riverside Drive at Dundee Rail Station

    eastbound nearside lane closure for one week for footway works.

  • Old Glamis Road (Fairmuir Road to Clepington Road)

    closed southbound for 3 weeks for water main works.

  • A90 Kingsway West (Myrekirk Road to Buttars Road)

    overnight (7.30pm - 6.30am) lane closures in both directions until Friday 27 April for lighting works.

    closed for up to one week for footway and tree works.

    rolling traffic control from Monday 26 February – Wednesday 28 February for Scottish Water sewer survey work.

    closed from Thursday 1 March for 5 working days for gas service connection works.

    closed from Monday 5 March for 10 weeks for demolition works.

  • West Hendersons Wynd (from Douglas Street for a distance of 50m)

    closed on Tuesday 13 March for Scottish Water repair works.

  • Arbroath Road (at Springhill)

    temporary traffic lights from Monday 5 to Wednesday 7 March for BT cable works.

  • Strathmore Avenue (Hospital Street to Strathmartine Road)

    closed from Monday 5 March for 5 days for pedestrian crossing works.

  • Strathmartine Road (Strathmore Avenue to Francis Street)

    closed southbound from Monday 12 March for 5 days for pedestrian crossing works.

  • Benvie Road / Mitchell Street junction

    closed from Saturday 17 March for 5 days for demolition works. Mitchell Street closed Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 March only.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
