II CONVENTION OF SCOTTISH LOCAL AUTHORITIES - APPOINTMENT OF SPOKESPERSONS

It was reported that Councillor Sturrock and Councillor FitzPatrick had been appointed spokespersons for Waste Management and Consumer and Protective Services respectively and it was recommended that attendance at meetings, conferences and other events be considered an approved duty.

The Council approved accordingly.

III DIRECTORSHIP - DUNDEE WASTE ENVIRONMENT TRUST

On a reference to Article V of the minute of meeting of the Environmental and Consumer Protection Committee of 17th March, 1997, it was reported that Mr Peter Wilson, Assistant Recycling Officer had left the service of the Council on 31st March, 2000.

In the circumstances, it was agreed that the Director of Environmental and Consumer Protection be appointed the Councils representative on the Dundee Waste Environment Trust.
