I HEC ACTION AWARDS CEREMONY - 12TH JULY, 2000 - LONDON
It was reported that Dundee City Council had been invited as one of this years winning consortium authorities to attend an awards ceremony at the House of Commons on 12th July, 2000.
The Committee authorised the attendance of the Convener or his nominee.
The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.
II DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL (TURNBERRY AVENUE, ARDLER) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 1999
It was reported that the City Council was pursuing a Compulsory Purchase Order for the flats and shopping centre in Turnberry Avenue as part of the Ardler regeneration.
The Committee approved the purchase of two properties on the terms and conditions detailed and remitted to the Director of Economic Development and Director of Support Services to conclude the arrangements.
