The Sub-Committee, under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, resolved that the public and press be excluded from the meeting in order that the undernoted item be considered in private on the grounds that the item involved the disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part I of Schedule 7(a) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973.

 

FOOD SAFETY (GENERAL FOOD HYGIENE) REGULATIONS 1995

FOOD SAFETY (GENERAL FOOD HYGIENE) (BUTCHERS' SHOPS) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2000

 

The Sub-Committee considered a letter dated 29th September 2000 from the Director of Environmental and Consumer Protection, copies of which had been circulated.

 

The Sub-Committee also heard representations from the Director of Environmental and Consumer Protection and the applicant and his representative in accordance with the agreed procedure.

 

Thereafter, following careful consideration, the Sub-Committee agreed that the premises be not granted a licence under the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 and the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) (Butchers' Shops) Amendment Regulations 2000
