The Board, having heard from the applicant, a Licensing Standards Officer and the Board's Legal Adviser, agreed to allow the variation to permit children or young person's access to the premises when accompanied by an adult before they take a coach/bus to spectate at an away football match for teams playing in the Scottish professional football league and also to permit children and young person's access to the lounge area two hours before and one hour after a football match at either Dens Park or Tannadice (no later than 8.00 pm) when accompanied by an adult.

The Board, having heard from the applicant, a Licensing Standards Officer and the Board's Legal Adviser, agreed to allow the variation to allow receptions including wedding parties, funerals, birthdays and group meetings.

 

II ANNUAL LICENSING REPORT FROM POLICE SCOTLAND

 

The Board agreed to note the Annual Licensing Report from Police Scotland.

 

III THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SOCIAL IMPACT OF ALCOHOL AVAILABILITY IN DUNDEE - UPDATE JUNE, 2023

 

The Board agreed to note the joint report by NHS Tayside and the Alcohol and Drug Partnership on the Public Health and Social Impact of Alcohol Availability in Dundee.

 

IV REVIEW OF STATEMENT OF LICENSING POLICY

 

There was submitted Report No 274-2023, by the Clerk to the Licensing Board, advising the Board of options for the Statement of Licensing Policy for the period 2023-2028 under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, including a statement as to any overprovision of licences within the Boards area.

 

The Board considered the options set out in the report for possible inclusion in the Statement of Licensing Policy for the period 2023-2028 and authorised the Clerk to carry out a consultation under the 2005 Act, with a further report being submitted to the Board in November, 2023 when a final decision would be made as to the content of the 2023-2028 policy statement.
