I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.
II DUNDEE BIODIVERSITY ACTION PLAN - ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT
There was submitted Report No 128-2022 by the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services presenting an update on the progress made on the implementation of Dundees Biodiversity Action Plan and reporting on actions progressed during 2021/2022.
The Committee agreed to note the achievements and the progress of the Biodiversity Action Plan.
III PURCHASE OF BINS AND CONTAINERS
There was submitted Report No 130-2022 by the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services seeking authorisation for the purchase of the annual quantity of wheeled bins, euro containers, skips and specialist containers for neighbourhood recycling points which were estimated to be required during 2022/2023.
The Committee agreed that approval be given to purchase the bins, containers and skips required through the Scotland Excel framework.
IV COFFEE POD RECYCLING
On a reference to Article II of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 21st February, 2022, there was submitted Report No 132-2022 by the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services providing an update on the operation of coffee pod recycling systems and recycling opportunities available to residents within Dundee.
The Committee agreed to note the content of the report.
V TENDERS RECEIVED BY HEAD OF DESIGN AND PROPERTY
There was submitted Report No 144-2022 by the Executive Director of City Development detailing tenders received and requesting a decision thereon:-
(a) ULVERSTON TERRACE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2
The Committee agreed to accept the offer with highest ranking score for cost and quality from Dundee Plant Ltd in the sum of 147,090.82, together with allowances of 22,909.18, giving a total expenditure of 170,000.
(b) LADYWELL FOOTPATHS AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1
The Committee agreed to accept a negotiated offer from Tayside Contracts in the sum of 81,067.15, together with allowances of 14,932.85, giving a total expenditure of 96,000.
(c) BALMUIR WOOD - NEW BIODISK TREATMENT PLANT AND SEPTIC PLANT INSTALLATION
The Committee agreed to accept a negotiated offer from Tayside Contracts in the sum of 82,605.55, together with allowances of 17,394.45, giving a total expenditure of 100,000.
