I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
Councillor Marra declared a non-financial interest in respect of Article IV by virtue of being the Secretary and founder of Optimistic Sound who are one of the funders of the Big Noise, Douglas.
II EDUCATION PLAN: 2017-2018
There was submitted Report No 400-2017 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Service presenting the Chief Education Officers Education Plan for the period 2017-2018, setting out key priorities and intended outcomes for Education.
The Committee agreed to:-
(i) note the content of this report and approve the Education Plan: 2017-2018; and
(ii) instruct the Chief Education Officer to monitor the progress and impact of the plan, and report back at the time of submitting the following years plan.
III ASPIRE DUNDEE - PROGRESS UPDATE
There was submitted Report No 401-2017 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Service providing an update of the ASPIRE Dundee Programme.
The Committee agreed to:-
(i) note the content of the report; and
(ii) instruct the Executive Director of Children and Families Service to prepare an annual report on the ASPIRE Dundee Programme.
IV BIG NOISE DOUGLAS - PROGRESS UPDATE
There was submitted Report No 402-2017 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Service providing the Committee with an update on the implementation of the Sistema Scotland Big Noise programme in Douglas.
The Committee agreed to note the content of the report and instructed the Executive Director to produce an annual report on the implementation of the programme.
