I DECLARATION OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.
II INCLUSION PLUS NEXT STEPS
There was submitted Report No 378-2016 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Services providing a further report on the work of the Inclusion Plus Project, outlining the next steps of the programme.
The Committee noted the contents of the report and requested further regular reports from the Executive Director to Children and Families Services as part of the general Attainment Challenge reporting.
III SCOTTISH ATTAINMENT CHALLENGE - PROGRESS REPORT
There was submitted Report No 379-2016 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Services providing a progress update of the Scottish Attainment Challenge in Dundee.
The Committee noted the progress, success and impact to date and instructed the Executive Director of Children and Families Service to continue to provide ongoing updates with regard to the funding allocation and the implementation of the Scottish Attainment Challenge in Dundee.
IV SISTEMA SCOTLAND - THE "BIG NOISE" IN DOUGLAS
There was submitted Report No 377-2016 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Services providing a further update on the progress being made to introduce the SISTEMA Scotland Big Noise programme in Dundee following the signing of the formal partnership agreement.
The Committee agreed:-
(i) to note the contents of the report;
(ii) to note the revised timeline for implementation at school level; and
(iii) to instruct the Executive Director to produce an annual report on the implementation of the programme.
V STAFFING LEVELS IN DUNDEE SCHOOLS
There was submitted Report No 376-2016 by the Executive Director of Children and Families Services where reference was made to Article V(ii) of the minute of meeting of the Education Committee of 27th April, 2015, where it was agreed to instruct the Director of Education to produce an annual staffing report. This report provides an update of teacher staffing levels in Dundee schools.
The Committee agreed to note the contents of the report.
