I APOLOGIES

II WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS
The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting and invited them to introduce themselves,
III MINUTE OF MEETING OF DUNDEE LICENSING FORUM OF 1ST MARCH, 2016
The minute of the above-mentioned meeting was submitted and approved.
IV MATTERS ARISING
There were no matters arising which were not covered elsewhere on the agenda.
V S.T.A.R. AWARDS UPDATE 2016
Morag Beattie provided an update on the S.T.A.R. Awards scheme. The Licensing Board would continue to encourage premises to participate in the scheme.
Assessments would be held during June and July, 2016.
VI PRESS REPORTS
The Chair reminded the Forum of the licensing objectives and reported on matters in the local and trade press since the date of the last meeting. This included:-
(1) Sale of alcohol - minimum pricing
(2) Increase in alcohol sales
(3) More scope for Licensing Board to refuse applications
(4) Legal challenges to licence refusals
(5) Weekly alcohol limits/drink related deaths
(6) Increase in restaurants with licences
VII LICENSING COMMUNICATIONS
The Forum heard Stephen Dalton relative to the above.
It was agreed that a copy of a proposed Action Plan be circulated to all members of the Forum and that further consideration be given to this matter at the next meeting.
VIII GLASS -V- PLASTIC IN THE LATE NIGHT ECONOMY
The Forum heard the Chair, members of the Team and particularly those involved in the Late Night Economy exchange views. It was agreed to take no further action.
IX NEW LICENCES SINCE THE INTRODUCTION OF THE OVER PROVISION POLICY
After hearing the Chair relative thereto and members of the Forum, it was agreed that it be remitted to Blair Finlay to liaise with Licensing Officials and to submit a report to the next meeting.
