I DECLARATION OF INTEREST

 

The Director of Housing declared a non-financial interest in Article III by virtue of her partners employment with HOME Scotland.

 

II TENDERS RECEIVED

 

There was submitted Report No 456-2013 by the City Architect detailing tenders received and requesting a decision thereon:-

 

(a) DOUGLAS AND ANGUS 1ST DEVELOPMENT - PITCHED ROOF REPLACEMENT

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest tender from Andrew Shepherd Construction Ltd, Forfar in the sum of 71,386.71, corrected after checking to 71,955.11, together with allowances of 6,116.18 for professional services and 3,000 for contingencies, making a total expenditure of 81,071.29.

 

III WHITFIELD - SUMMERFIELD AVENUE PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT

 

There was submitted Report No 463-2013 by the Chief Executive seeking authority to enter into a Sale Agreement with HOME Scotland and Merchant Homes to develop the site at Summerfield Avenue Phase 2, Dundee.

 

The Committee:-

 

(i) remitted the Head of Democratic and Legal Services to negotiate a Sale Agreement and thereafter obtain all necessary consents; and

 

 

(ii) noted that following completion of the Sale Agreement a report seeking approval for the sale of the site on the plan attached to the report to HOME Scotland and Merchant Homes would be submitted to the City Development Committee. The sale would be subject to valuation by the District Valuer and any other conditions which it might be appropriate for the Council to impose.
