III VACANCIES - STANDING COMMITTEES
(i) CONVENER OF HOUSING
It was reported that Councillor Black had intimated his resignation from the above position with effect from 12th March, 2013.
(ii) DEPUTE CONVENER OF HOUSING
It was reported that Councillor Alexander had intimated his resignation from the above position with effect from 12th March, 2013.
(iii) DEPUTE CONVENER OF DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT
It was reported that Councillor Cordell had intimated his resignation from the above position with effect from 12th March, 2013.
Lord Provost Duncan, seconded by Councillor Dawson, moved that the undernoted appointments be made:-
Convener of Housing - Councillor John Alexander
Depute Convener of Housing - Councillor Kevin Cordell
Depute Convener of Development Management - Councillor Jimmy Black
As an amendment, Councillor Keenan, seconded by Bailie Wright, moved approval of the above, subject to Councillor Lynn being appointed Convener of Housing.
On a division, there voted for the motion - Councillors Guild, Alexander, Black, Bowes, Campbell, Cordell, Dawson, Hunter, Lynn, McDonald, Melville, Murray, Ross, Macpherson, Bailies Sawers, Scott, Lord Provost Duncan and Depute Lord Provost Roberts (18); and for the amendment - Councillors Keenan, Asif, Bidwell, Brennan, Cruickshank, Ferguson, Gordon, McCready, McGovern and Bailie Wright (10) - Bailie Borthwick declining to vote - whereupon the motion was declared carried.
IV VACANCY - OUTSIDE BODY
(i) TAY ROAD BRIDGE JOINT BOARD
It was reported that Councillor Bowes had intimated his resignation from the above with effect from 12th March, 2013.
The Council appointed Councillor Black.
