I BOTTLE MARKING SCHEME

 

There was submitted Report No 216-2011 by the Duncan Project Coordinator requesting that the Board consider supporting a bottle marking scheme in Dundee.

 

The Board remitted to the Clerk to initiate a consultation under Section 6 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 on the inclusion of a supplementary statement to the Board's Statement of Licensing Policy.

The Convener moved to grant a variation to 4.30 am on Fridays and Saturdays only, with a report back to the Board in six months. As an amendment, Councillor Fordyce moved to refuse the application.

 

On a division, there voted for the motion - the Convener and Councillor Dick (2); and for the amendment - Bailie Regan and Councillors Bowes, Hunter, Fordyce, Gordon and Keenan (6) - whereupon the amendment was declared carried refusing the variation.

 

The Board further agreed to grant a Direction and provide a statement of reasons.
