I HMIE INSPECTION OF CRAIGOWL PRIMARY SCHOOL AND NURSERY CLASS

There was submitted Report No 375-2009 by the Director of Education reporting on the findings of the HMIe Inspection of Craigowl Primary School and Nursery Class.

The Committee, after having questioned the Director of Education, agreed to:-

(i) note the contents of the report; and

(ii) instruct the Director of Education to monitor progress towards meeting the areas for improvement contained in the report.

II HMIE INSPECTION OF CLAYPOTTS CASTLE PRIMARY SCHOOL AND NURSERY CLASS

There was submitted Report No 379-2009 by the Director of Education reporting on the findings of the HMIe Inspection of Claypotts Castle Primary School and Nursery Class.

The Committee, after having questioned the Director of Education, agreed to:-

(i) note the contents of the report; and

(ii) instruct the Director of Education to monitor progress towards meeting the areas for improvement contained in the report.

III INTEGRATED INSPECTION OF WHITFIELD COMMUNITY EARLY YEARS CENTRE BY HMIE AND THE CARE COMMISSION

There was submitted Report No 380-2009 by the Director of Education reporting on the findings of the Integrated Inspection by HMIe on behalf of both HMIe and the Care Commission of Whitfield Community Early Years Centre.

The Committee, after having questioned the Director of Education, agreed to:-

(i) note the contents of the report;

(ii)                                        instruct the Director of Education to monitor progress towards meeting the areas for improvement contained in the report; and

(iii) report back to this Committee on progress made in meeting the areas for improvement.

IV CARE COMMISSION INSPECTION OF DOWNFIELD EARLY YEARS CENTRE

There was submitted Report No 377-2009 by the Director of Education reporting on the findings of the Care Commission Inspection of Downfield Early Years Centre.

The Committee, after having questioned the Director of Education, agreed to:-

(i)                                          note the contents of the report;

(ii)                                         the evaluation under Section 4.4.2 of the report for Quality of Environment and Quality of Staffing being changed to read very good; and

(iii) instruct the Director of Education to monitor progress towards meeting the areas for improvement contained in the report.

V HMIE INSPECTION OF BARNHILL PRIMARY SCHOOL AND NURSERY CLASS

There was submitted Report No 376-2009 by the Director of Education reporting on the findings of the HMIe Inspection of Barnhill Primary School and Nursery Class.

The Committee agreed after having questioned the Director of Education to:-

(i) note the contents of the report; and

(ii) instruct the Director of Education to monitor progress towards meeting the areas for improvement contained in the report.
