The minute of meeting of the Licensing Board held on 11th December, 2008 was held as read.

I PERSONAL LICENCES

The Convener reminded all holders of Premises Licences that it was imperative that each of these premises require to have a premises manager in place by 1st September, 2009, otherwise they cannot open for business.

II LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005

(a) NEW GRANTS

The Board, having heard from the applicant on their own behalf, agreed to grant the above application.

The Board, having heard from the Chief Constable's representative and the applicant on their own behalf, agreed to grant the above application subject to compliance with the club rules to be attached as a condition of licence.

Bailie Wallace declared a non-financial interest by virtue of holding surgeries on the applicant's premises.

The Board, having heard from an agent on behalf of the applicant, an officer from Environmental Health and Trading Standards and the Board's Legal Officer, agreed to grant the above application and allow the beer garden to remain open until 11pm, subject to the attachment of the audibility condition.

(a) APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT TRANSFER OF LICENCE IN TERMS OF SECTION 25(1)

The Board, having heard from an agent on behalf of the applicant and the Chief Constable's representative, agreed to grant the above application.

(b) APPLICATION FOR THE REGULAR EXTENSION OF PERMITTED HOURS

From 11pm to 2.30am Mondays to Sundays and 2.30pm to 6.30pm Sundays for the convenience of local residents, students, visitors and shiftworkers and to benefit the locality by the provision of late night service. To cater for the demand of existing customers and provide them with additional choice of premises for late night service.

The Board, having heard from an agent on behalf of the applicant and an officer from Environmental Health and Trading Standards, agreed to defer the above application.

From 11pm to 12 midnight Mondays to Sundays and 2.30pm to 6.30pm Sundays for the convenience of local residents, students, visitors and shiftworkers and to benefit the locality by the provision of late night service to cater for the demand of existing customers and provide them with additional choice of premises for late night service.

The Board, having heard from an agent on behalf of the applicant and an officer from Environmental Health and Trading Standards, agreed to defer the above application.

(c) APPLICATION FOR MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT CONSENT

The Board agreed to grant the above application for three months for TV set, groups (max 3 artists), vocalists and karaoke.
