I DISABILITY EQUALITY SCHEME 2007/2010 - PROGRESS REPORT
There was submitted Report No 614-2008 by the Director of Education informing the Committee of progress made in implementing the Education Department's Disability Equality Scheme 2007/2010.
The Committee noted progress made in implementing the Scheme and approved the report.
II TENDERS RECEIVED
There was submitted Report No 634-2008 by the City Architectural Services Officer listing tenders received and requesting a decision thereon:-
(i) ST NINIAN'S RC PRIMARY SCHOOL - NEW HEATING SYSTEM
The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by CMS Heating and Plumbing Ltd, Dundee for 268,300.87, together with the following allowances:-

III BALDRAGON ACADEMY - POOL BOILER REPLACEMENT
There was submitted Agenda Note AN224-2008 reporting for information that due to timescales involved the Director of Education and City Architectural Services Officer, in consultation with the Convener and Group spokespersons, approved a tender for replacement of Baldragon Academy's pool boiler. The tender was awarded to Scan Building Services Ltd, Dundee for 16,500, together with an allowance of 1,650 for professional services, making a total expenditure of 18,150.
The Committee noted accordingly.
The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 5 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.
IV REQUEST FOR EDUCATION AT HOME
There was submitted Report No 623-2008 by the Director of Education relative to the above.
The Committee approved the application for education at home.
