The minutes of meetings of the above Sub-Committees, copies of which are appended hereto (Appendices l, ll and lll), were submitted for information and record purposes.
II DUNDEE PUBLIC OPEN SPACE STRATEGY 2008/2011
On a reference to Article IV of the minute of the meeting of the Leisure Services Committee of 21st September, 1998 there was submitted Report No 348-2008 by the Director of Leisure and Communities, the Director of Planning and Transportation and Director of Dundee Contract Services relative to the Dundee Public Open Space Strategy 2008/2011.
The Committee approved the adoption of this strategy to provide a framework for the management of Dundee's Public Open Space over the period 2008/2011.
III DUNDEE TREE AND URBAN FORESTRY POLICY
This report was withdrawn.
IV FAIRER SCOTLAND FUND COMMUNITY REGENERATION FORUM ALLOCATION 2008/2010
There was submitted Report No 389-2008 by the Assistant Chief Executive (Community Planning) relative to the above.
The Committee noted the process for allocating grants through the local community regeneration forums as agreed by the Dundee Partnership and endorsed the funding proposals detailed below.

VI DUNDEE CITIZENS' ADVICE BUREAU - FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE 2008/2009
Councillor Keenan declared a non-financial interest in this item by virtue of being the Council's representative on the Bureau's Management Committee. Councillor Black declared a non-financial interest in this item by virtue of being a member of the Bureau's Management Committee.
After considering Report No 435-2008 by the Depute Chief Executive (Finance) relative to the above, the Committee approved a revenue grant for Dundee Citizens' Advice Bureau of 110,000 for the financial year 2008/2009.
The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.
VII RELIEF OF NON-DOMESTIC RATES ON THE GROUNDS OF HARDSHIP (HARDSHIP RELIEF)
There was submitted Report No 428-2008 by the Depute Chief Executive (Finance) relative to the above.
The Committee approved the recommendation detailed therein.
VIII HOUSING DEPARTMENT - EARLY RETIREMENT
After considering an Agenda Note AN158-2008, the Committee approved the early retirement of two Sheltered Housing Officers (ERO104-08 and ERO5-08) within the Housing Department in the interests of the efficiency of the service with effect from 26th September, 2008 in accordance with the Local Government Pension Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 1998. The employees would also receive enhanced benefits in accordance with the Local Government (Discretionary Payments and Injury Benefits) (Scotland) Regulations Action 1998 as amended.
