In the case of application numbers 1 to 12, there being no objections, the Committee agreed that the applications be granted.
In the case of application number 13 the Clerk advised the Committee that a late objection had been received to the application. The Committee agreed that the objection be deemed incompetent and that it not be considered. Thereafter the Committee, after noting there was no one present on behalf of the objectors, and after hearing the observations of the housing officer and consideration of the advice of the legal officer, agreed that the application be granted.
In the case of application number 14, the Committee after noting that the objector was not present and after having heard an agent on behalf of the applicant and the observations of the housing officer agreed that the application be granted.
In the case of application number 15, the Committee after noting that the objectors were not present and after having heard the applicant on their own behalf, the observations of the housing officer and the advice of the legal officer, agreed that the application be granted and that further enquiry be made to the Waste Management Department of the City Council in relation to the provision of refuse bins at this property.
In the case of application numbers 16 to 47, the Committee agreed that consideration of these applications be deferred to a future meeting of the Committee.

The Committee gave consideration to a notification of a public procession to be held on Saturday, 16th July 2005 which had been received from Hamish Strachan on behalf of the Fred Roshier Memorial Orange Lodge and after hearing a representative of the Chief Constable and a representative on behalf of the organiser, agreed that the procession commence at 09.00 hrs.

The Committee noted that the Convener had agreed that this item be considered as a matter of urgency in terms of Standing Order No.17(b) and in view of the timescales. Thereafter the Committee gave consideration to a notification of a public procession to be held on Saturday, 25th June 2005 which had been received from the City of Dundee Campsie Club Apprentice Boys of Derry and after hearing a representative on behalf of Tayside Police and a representative on behalf of the organiser, agreed that the procession commence at 09.00 hrs from Victoria Street.

In the case of this application, the Committee after hearing the applicant on their own behalf agreed that the application be granted.
The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they would involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 3, 6 and 9 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the above Act.
II CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982
(a) TAXI DRIVER'S LICENCE - NEW APPLICATION
There was submitted an application by Mr W S for a taxi driver's licence.
The Committee gave consideration to a letter of representation which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.
Thereafter having heard a representative on behalf of the applicant, the Committee agreed that the application be granted for a period of six months.
(b) WINDOW CLEANER'S LICENCE - NEW APPLICATION
There was submitted an application by Mr N B for a window cleaner's licence.
The Committee gave consideration to a letter of objection which had been submitted by the Chief Constable relative to this application.
Thereafter having heard an agent on behalf of the applicant and the applicant on their own behalf, agreed that the application be granted for a period of six months.
