I ATTENDANCE AT THE BUILDING THE BROADBAND ECONOMY CONFERENCE/INTELLIGENT COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR 2008 EVENT,BROOKLYN, NEW YORK 14TH/16TH MAY, 2008

There was submitted Agenda Note AN46-2008 reporting that the above event would take place at New York Polytechnic University at the MetroTech Campus in Brooklyn on 14th - 16th May, 2008.

The Committee agreed that the Convener, or his nominee, and the Head of Information Technology represent the City Council at the conference and awards in New York.

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

II COMMERCIAL LEASES

There was submitted and approved Report No 153-2008 by the Director of Economic Development detailing commercial leases in respect of the undernoted premises:-

15 Marybank Lane

Unit 14 Alexander Street

III RENT REVIEWS

There was submitted and approved Report No 154-2008 by the Director of Economic Development detailing rent reviews in respect of the undernoted premises:-

135 Kingsway East

137 Craigie Drive

IV PROPOSED SALE OF LAND TO EAST OF 19 SOUTHAMPTON ROAD

There was submitted Report No 151-2008 by the Director of Economic Development seeking approval for the sale of 0.0078 hectares of land adjoining 19 Southampton Road.

The Committee approved the sale on the terms and conditions detailed in the report.
