There was circulated a reviewed report, outlining a number of proposals designed to raise taxi fares in Dundee closer to the national average in a phased manner.

There followed consideration and discussion of the proposals.

It was agreed that it be remitted to the appropriate officers to consider the proposals and their implications in detail. Thereafter, a report would be submitted to a meeting of the Liaison Group to be held in the near future, with a view to submitting a recommendation to the Licensing Committee on 16th August, 2007, and thereafter, implementing any changes as quickly as possible.

III NIGHTCLUB MINIBUSES

Concern was expressed by trade members regarding the practice of nightclubs using minibuses to bring members of the public to their premises, in particular, the fact that these were not licensed or regulated in any way. It was remitted to the officers to give further consideration to this matter.
