II COMMUNITY REGENERATION FUND SMALL GRANTS ALLOCATION 2006/2007

 

There was submitted Report No 708-2006 by the Assistant Chief Executive (Community Planning) and the Director of Leisure and Communities relative to the above.

 

The Committee noted the process for allocating small grants through the Local Community Regeneration Forums as agreed by the Dundee Partnership and endorsed the funding proposals detailed below:

IV CHARLESTON VILLAGE GREEN - ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS

 

There was submitted Report No 601-2006 by the Director of Housing and Director of Dundee Contract Services relative to the above.

 

The Committee:

 

(i) approved the design proposals for the environmental improvements to Charleston Village Green shown on Drawing No 65248/02;

 

(ii) authorised the City Council to accept the offer of 132,403 from Dundee Contract Services under a Partnering Agreement;

 

(iii) authorised the overall expenditure of 171,000 for the project;

 

(iv) approved the transfer of the land to Dundee Contract Services in order to facilitate a planning maintenance programme.

 

V DUNDEE HOUSE - UPDATE

 

On a reference to Article I of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 15th May, 2006 there was submitted Report No 608-2006 by the Depute Chief Executive (Finance) providing an update on the development of the Dundee House Project.

The Committee:

 

(i) noted the current position on the development of Dundee House;

 

(ii) agreed the draft designs submitted by Reiach and Hall;

 

(iii) noted the revised timescale for the development, construction and completion of Dundee House with occupation in March 2010;

 

(iv) noted the revised total estimated cost of 30m (at outturn prices) and the fact that the Head of Finance would include a revised phasing and revised cost of 30m within the Capital Plan 2007-2010 which was currently being prepared;

 

(v) approved the acceptance of the offer from Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical Limited in the amount of 77,074.53 for the ground investigation tender assessment;

 

(vi) agreed that the officers progress the development, construction and completion of Dundee House and bring back further reports at appropriate times.
