I CARE AND PROTECTION OF CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS AT RISK IN THE LEISURE AND COMMUNITIES DEPARTMENT

 

There was submitted Report No 694-2006 by the Director of Leisure and Communities seeking approval for a single care and protection policy and guidance for the Leisure and Communities Department, and advising the Committee of arrangements to ensure ongoing self-evaluation of Leisure and Communities Care and Protection policy and procedures.

 

The Committee agreed to:-

 

(i) approve the revised, updated care and protection policy and guidance for the Leisure and Communities Department;

 

(ii) endorse plans to ensure the ongoing self-evaluation of care and protection policy and procedures in the Leisure and Communities Department.

 

II CULTURAL PATHFINDER PROJECT

 

There was submitted Report No 718-2006 by the Director of Leisure and Communities advising the Committee of the outcome of the bid submitted to the Scottish Arts Council for Cultural Pathfinder status and the arrangements being put in place for implementation.

 

The Committee agreed to note and approve the contents of the report.

 

III TENDERS RECEIVED

 

There was submitted Report No 671-2006 by City Architectural Services Officer seeking approval for the installation of a Fire Detection and Alarm System for Broughty Ferry Library.

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer from ADT Fire and Security, Dundee for the sum of 8,333.75 together with 1,335.00 for allowances giving a total expenditure of 9,668.75.
