IV MORGAN ACADEMY - REFURBISHMENT OF MAIN GATES
There was submitted Agenda Note AN430-2006. It was reported that the Morgan Academy former Pupil Association (MFPA) had applied to Historic Scotland for funding to assist them to complete the restoration of the main gates at Morgan Academy. In order for the MFPA to secure grant assistance from Historic Scotland it was necessary for them to have a 21 year lease of the land on which the main gates were situated.
It would be necessary for the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to negotiate and agree an appropriate land lease at a nominal rent and securing that only the Education Authority would have the right to operate and control the gates.
The Committee approved the above.
Kevin KEENAN, Convener.
