I ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT SERVICE PLAN 2003/2007 ANNUAL REPORT FOR YEAR 2005/2006

 

The Director of Economic Development submitted Report No 367-2006 informing the Committee of Departmental performance during the year 2005/2006.

 

The Committee noted the report.

 

II REFURBISHMENT OF THE AIRPORT RUNWAY SNOWBRUSH

 

The Director of Economic Development submitted Report No 355-2006 giving details of offers received for the refurbishment of the Airport's Eagle 540 Runway Snowbrush.

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lower offer by Keillor Coachbuilders Ltd, Arbroath for the sum of 28,318 to carry out the refurbishment.

 

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7A of the Act.

There was submitted and approved Report No 353-2006 by the Director of Economic Development detailing commercial leases in respect of the undernoted premises:-

IV RENT REVIEWS

 

There was submitted and approved Report No 354-2006 by the Director of Economic Development detailing rent reviews in respect of the undernoted premises:-

52 High Street, Lochee

 

V OFFICER'S APPROVAL - STONERIDGE ELECTRONICS LTD

 

Reference was made to Article IV of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 10th June, 2002. There was submitted Agenda Note AN196-2006 reporting for the information of the Committee that the Director of Economic Development, after consultation with the Convener and Spokespersons of the Other Groups, had amended existing leases and authorised the City Architectural Services Officer to negotiate a contract for alterations works.

 

VI SITE AT PARKER STREET

 

Councillor Grant declared a financial interest by virtue of her employment by an interested party.

 

There was submitted Agenda Note AN215-2006 advising that an interested party had applied to acquire the City Council site at the above location and the Director of Economic Development recommended that the subjects be sold to the interested party on the terms and conditions detailed.

 

The Committee approved accordingly.
