I CHILDREN'S PLAYGROUNDS - INSTALLATION OF SELF CLOSING GATES

Item deferred.

II FINDALE STREET/LONGHAUGH ROAD PLAYGROUND

There was submitted Agenda Note AN9-2006 informing the Committee that following discussion with the local Ward Councillor and local residents agreement had been reached to close the Findale Street/Longhaugh Road Playground, remove the two remaining items of play equipment and landscape the area.

The Committee agreed that Dundee Contract Services carry out the works at an estimated cost of 8,722.

III PUBLIC SEATS IN OPEN SPACES AND ROADSIDES

There was submitted Agenda Note AN10-2006 reminding the Committee that the Department was responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of public seating in open spaces and along roadside verges throughout the city. A number of seats required replacing as well as hard surfacing around seating to ease maintenance.

The Committee agreed that seats at the undernoted locations be replaced and hard surfacing be provided around the seats for ease of maintenance.

It was further agreed that Dundee Contract Services carry out the work for the sum of 11,910.
