The minute of meeting of this Committee of 14th November 2005 was held as read.
Unless marked thus * all items stand delegated.
The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A of the Act.
I COMMERCIAL LEASES
There was submitted and approved Report No 715-2005 by the Director of Economic Development detailing commercial leases in respect of the undernoted premises:-
Unit 3, Miln Street, Dundee
Unit 12B, Mid Wynd, Dundee
Unit 10, Faraday Street, Dundee
Premises at 10-12 Taylor's Lane, Dundee
Shop Premises at 14 Brownhill Road, Dundee
Yard 5, Annfield Row, Dundee
Caird Park Golf Shop, Caird Park, Dundee
Premises at 58-60 South Tay Street, Dundee
Shop at 21 Hilltown, Dundee
Unit 5, Fruitmarket, Dock Street, Dundee.
II RENT REVIEWS
There was submitted and approved Report No 716-2005 by the Director of Economic Development detailing the review of rent in respect of the undernoted premises:-
Radio Station, The Law, Dundee.
III DEVELOPMENT SITE - DOCK STREET/GELLATLY STREET, DUNDEE
There was submitted Report No 731-2005 by the Director of Economic Development seeking approval to the sale of a site at Dock Street/Gellatly Street, Dundee.
The Committee agreed to approve the proposed sale on the terms agreed and remitted to the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to conclude the necessary legal formalities.
IV DEVELOPMENT SITE - MARKETGAIT, DUNDEE
There was submitted by the Director of Economic Development Report No 738-2005 seeking approval for the sale of a site at Marketgait, Dundee.
The Committee agreed to approve the proposed sale on the terms agreed and remitted to the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to conclude the necessary formalities.
V GELLATLY STREET, 17/25, DUNDEE
There was submitted Agenda Note AN468-2005 advising that the Director of Planning and Transportation had requested that the first floor offices at 17/25 Gellatly Street be leased from Tiga Properties Limited to provide an operational base for a team of up to 20 Parking Attendants.
The Committee agreed to this request having noted all financial implications.
VI CAR PARK - WEST PORT/MARKETGAIT
There was submitted Agenda Note AN469-2005 whereby reference is made to Article XVI of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 18th August 2003, wherein Members approved the disposal of sites, buildings and superiorities comprising of the West Port Bar and adjacent ground, a car park at West Port, an area of vacant ground between East Henderson's Wynd and Brown Street and the solum of the road at Henderson's Wynd and David's Lane.
The Committee noted accordingly and remitted to the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) to conclude the necessary formalities.
