I CENTRAL WATERFRONT - TENDERS RECEIVED BY CITY ENGINEER
There was submitted Report No 213-2005 by the City Engineer detailing offers received in respect of Dundee Central Waterfront - Dock Street Tunnel Strengthening (Partnering Contractor).
The Committee agreed that:-
(i) the City Engineer instruct the preferred contractor, AMCO, to carry out advanced investigations and work with the design team to develop the detailed proposals and incur costs up to a value of 100,000 with a view to establishing the Agreed Maximum Price (AMP);
(ii) the Director of Planning and Transportation negotiate a contract within the overall allowance of 8.495 million; the contract will be under a partnering arrangement with AMCO on the basis of the submitted tender and following the finalisation of the detailed design and AMP; and
(iii) the Depute Chief Executive (Support Services) be authorised to accept the offer recommended by the Director of Planning and Transportation.
