I MINUTE OF MEETING OF SCHOOL ATTENDANCE SUB-COMMITTEE OF 14TH DECEMBER 2004

 

The minute of the above meeting (Appendix I) was submitted for information.

 

II TENDERS RECEIVED

 

(a) CITY ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES OFFICER

 

There was submitted Report No 44-2005 by the City Architectural Services Officer detailing tenders received and requesting a decision thereon:-

 

(i) ROCKWELL SCHOOL - CCTV AND SECURITY LIGHTING

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer received from Electro Guard Security Systems, Dundee for CCTV and security lighting at Rockwell School for 29,288.26 together with allowances of 4,778.00 giving a total 34,066.26 subject to negotiation and revision to a figure, along with the allowance for professional services which would be contained within the budgeted figure.

 

The Committee noted that Electro Guard Security Systems, Dundee had listed the undernoted sub-contractor:-

 

GA Helmore, Dundee Electrical Work.

 

(ii) MENZIESHILL HIGH SCHOOL - NEW DISHWASHER

 

The Committee agreed to accept the schedule of rates offer from Dundee Contract Services for installation of a new industrial dishwasher with associated service installations at Menzieshill High School for 11,700:00 together with allowances of 1,973:00 giving a total of 13,673:00.

 

(b) CITY ENGINEER

 

There was submitted Report No 8-2005 by the City Engineer detailing tenders received and requesting a decision thereon:-

 

(i) ST JOHN'S RC HIGH SCHOOL - PARTIAL DEMOLITION

 

The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer received from Trojan Contracting and DIY Limited for the partial demolition of St John's RC High School for 115,375.00 together with allowances of 56,400.00 giving a total of 171,775.00.
