I MINUTE OF MEETING OF DOOR STEWARDS REGISTRATION SUB-COMMITTEE OF 29TH JUNE 2004
The minute of the above meeting (Appendix I) was submitted for information.
II REQUEST FOR SUSPENSION HEARING
The Board agreed to hold a Section 31 Hearing in respect of:-
(a) Yuppie's 80's Bar, 4 Meadowside, Dundee and Jayne Samson.
III CODE OF CONDUCT - TOUTING CONDITION
Reference was made to Article II of the minute of meeting of the Adjourned Board of 22nd July 2004 wherein the Board approved the wording of a condition in the Code of Conduct establishing exclusion zones within which touting would be prohibited. Following further discussions with the night club operators the Board agreed that the designated areas be a fifty metre radius from the main entrance of each night club premises or the length of the queue outside, whichever was the greater.
The Board approved accordingly.
IV MINIMUM ENTRY CONDITION (NIGHT CLUBS)
The Board was advised that a meeting had taken place on 18 October 2004 attended by the night club operators in the City at which the operators raised concerns regarding the current wording of the minimum entry condition, in particular the prohibition against the pre-booking of tickets.
It was agreed that the wording be examined again with a report being submitted to the next meeting of the Licensing Forum. It was anticipated that an amended condition be submitted to the Board in January 2005 for approval.
Those licences which were due for renewal before 2005 would have the existing wording attached. The wording of the amended condition as approved by the Board and the existing condition be interpreted in accordance with the amended wording.
The Board agreed accordingly.
