The minute of meeting of the Licensing Board of 5th December 2002 was held as read.
Unless marked thus * all items stand delegated.
I NOMINATION OF CHAIR
In the absence of Councillor Regan it was agreed that Lord Provost Letford be appointed as Chair for the duration of the business on the agenda.
II MEETINGS OF LICENSING BOARD
It was agreed that the statutory quarterly meetings of the Licensing Board for 2003/2004 would take place on the following dates commencing at 10.15 am:-
20th March 2003
19th June 2003
23 October 2003
15th January 2004.
III MEMBERSHIP
There was submitted Agenda Note AN14-2003 referring to Article II of the minute of meeting of the City Council of 9th December 2002 where it was agreed, following the resignation of Councillor Elizabeth F Fordyce, that Councillor Willie Sawers be appointed to the Board.
IV GAMING ACT 1968
There was submitted and noted correspondence from The Gaming Board for Great Britain.
V REQUEST FOR SECTION 32 HEARING IN TERMS OF THE LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1976
It was agreed to hold a Section 32 Hearing in respect of The Park Hotel (Dundee) Limited and Darren Stewart, The Park Hotel, 40 Coupar Angus Road.
VI RACE EQUALITY SCHEME
There was submitted Report No 71-2003 by the Clerk advising Board members of the requirements of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 and seeking approval of a Race Equality Scheme for Dundee City Licensing Board.
The Board agreed that the Scheme, as outlined in the report, be adopted by the Board.
