At a MEETING of the POLICY AND RESOURCES COMMITTEE held at Dundee on 13th February, 2003.

The minute of meeting of this Committee of 10th February, 2003 was held as read.

I REVENUE BUDGET 2003/04

Reference was made to Article III of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 10th January, 2003 and Article IV of the minute of meeting of the Finance Committee of 10th January, 2003.

The Committee had before them the following:-

1. Provisional Revenue Budget Volume 2003/04 and Review of Charges 2003/04.

2. Report No 122-2003 by the Director of Finance.

The Committee gave consideration to the recommendations in Report No 122-2003 so far as its interest was concerned and;

(i) noted the procedures for setting the Revenue Budget and Council Tax, as previously agreed by the Policy and Resources and Finance Committees on 13th January, 2003 and as set out in Appendix A to this report.

(ii) noted the contents of the Provisional 2003/04 Revenue Budget Volume that was issued to the Committee on 24th December, 2002.

(iii) approved the budget adjustments detailed in Appendix B to this report and reduced the Provisional 2003/04 Revenue Budget by 72,000 to 260.500m

Thereafter, the Chief Executive intimated that no savings proposals had been submitted and that the proposed increase in charges for off-street car parking in Broughty Ferry had been withdrawn.

The Committee remitted further consideration to the Finance Committee.
