I SUPPLY OF IT EQUIPMENT AND THE WEEE DIRECTIVE
There was submitted Report No 900-2002 by the Director of Corporate Planning and Head of Information Technology proposing an interim policy for the recycling of IT equipment within the context of the forthcoming WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electric Equipment) Directive and recommending that the purchase of IT equipment continue through the GCAT procurement scheme.
The Committee approved:-
(i) the interim policy for recycling IT equipment as detailed in section 6.4.1 of the report; and
(ii) the GCAT Procurement Scheme as a permanent means of purchasing IT equipment.
III CONSULTATION ON THE FUTURE OF DENOMINATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN DUNDEE - SUMMARY OF RESULTS
Councillors Corrigan and Fordyce declared an interest.
Reference was made to Article VIII of the minute of meeting of the Education Committee of 16th December, 2002.
There was submitted Report No 891-2002 by the Director of Education updating the Committee on the summary of results of the survey of parents/carers and staff of all Dundee City Council denominational primary and secondary schools regarding the future of denominational secondary school provision in Dundee.
The Committee concurred with the decision taken at the Education Committee held on 16th December, 2002.
IV DUNDEE SCHOOLS PPP PROJECT - REPORT ON THE OUTCOME OF THE FORMAL CONSULTATION PROCESS
Councillors Corrigan and Fordyce declared an interest.
Reference was made to Article IX of the minute of meeting of the Education Committee of 16th December, 2002.
There was submitted Report No 898-2002 by the Director of Education detailing representations made during the formal publication and consultation exercise on the proposed Dundee Schools PPP Project and seeking instructions on how to proceed with the individual and inter-related projects therein.
The Committee concurred with the decision taken at the Education Committee held on 16th December, 2002.
V DUNDEE SCHOOLS PPP PROJECT - FUTURE CONSULTATION AND COMMUNICATION MECHANISMS
Councillors Corrigan and Fordyce declared an interest.
Reference was made to Article X of the minute of meeting of the Education Committee of 16th December, 2002.
There was submitted Report No 899-2002 by the Director of Education describing proposed future consultation and communication mechanisms relating to the Dundee Schools PPP Project.
The Committee concurred with the decision taken at the Education Committee held on 16th December, 2002.
