I TENDERS RECEIVED
The City Engineer submitted Report No 735-2002 giving details of offers received for the undernoted contracts:-
(a) ST MARY'S CENTRE, ST LEONARD ROAD ? DEMOLITION
The Committee agreed to accept the lowest offer by D Geddes (Contractors) Limited amounting to 32,164 to which required to be added the undernoted allowances:-

The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part 1 of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.

There was submitted Report No 758-2002 by the Director of Economic Development detailing commercial leases in respect of the undernoted premises:-

III RENT REVIEWS
There was submitted and approved Report No 759-2002 by the Director of Economic Development detailing the review of rent in respect of the undernoted premises:-

IV SALE OF HOUSE AT 96 BYRON STREET
Reference was made to Article VI of the minute of meeting of this Committee of 19th August, 2002. There was submitted Agenda Note AN274-2002 advising that the original highest tenderer had decided not to proceed and recommending that the property be offered to the second highest tenderer.
The Committee agreed to accept the second highest offer and remitted to the Director of Support Services to conclude the transaction.
V SALE OF GROUND ? SOUTH OF 6 OLD MUIRTON ROAD
There was submitted Agenda Note AN275-2002 reporting that the owner of the above property had applied to purchase 25 square metres of garden ground adjacent to the property at a provisionally agreed price.
The Committee noted that following consultation with the Convener and the appropriate spokespersons of the Opposition Groups, the application had been approved by the Director of Economic Development.
