I SUBSTITUTES

 

It was reported that that for the purposes of these meetings only the Lord Provost and Councillors Ward and Fordyce would be substituting for Councillors Rolfe, Grant and Corrigan.

 

The Sub-Committee noted accordingly.

 

The Sub-Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 that the undernoted item be considered in private on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 7(A) to the Act.

 

II APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL WORK

At a meeting held on 10th September, 2001 there was submitted copies of applications received following advertisement of the post. The Sub-Committee agreed that the undernoted candidates be interviewed.

At the meeting held on 15th October, 2001 it was reported that P Fenton had withdrawn her application and after the other candidates were interviewed the Sub-Committee unanimously agreed to offer the post to A Baird who intimated his acceptance.
