The minute of meeting of this Committee of 21st June, 2001 was held as read.

I SECTION 32 HEARING
Reference was made to the minute of meeting of the Licensing Board of 21st June, 2001 wherein it was agreed to hold a Section 32 Hearing in respect of the Rat and Parrot, 85/87 Commercial Street.
The Board having heard from an officer of the Environmental and Consumer Protection Department and an agent for the applicant agreed that no action be taken but that monitoring of the premises by the Environmental and Consumer Protection Department should continue.
II SECTION 31 HEARINGS
MARK BARTON - THE BUSH BAR, 30 SEAGATE
The Committee having taken into consideration a letter from the Chief Constable and having heard from an agent on behalf of the licence holder agreed that whilst the action of the licence holder gave cause for concern no further action would be taken.
ALLAN R MYLES - BEAT BAR, 51/53 MEADOWSIDE
Reference was made to the minute of meeting of the Licensing Board of 21st June, 2001 wherein it was agreed that a Section 31 Hearing be considered relative to a complaint received in respect of the above mentioned person.
The Committee having taken into consideration a letter from the Chief Constable and having heard from an agent on behalf of the licence holder agreed that there was no case to answer and that no action could be taken.
III MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT - COOKIES, 178/182 HILLTOWN
It was reported that the Licensing Board meeting held on 21st June, 2001 had considered a complaint with regard to the above premises and alleged noise nuisance and had requested the Environmental and Consumer Protection Department and Tayside Police to monitor the premises and to report their findings.
The Board heard from an Officer of the Environmental and Consumer Protection Department and the Chief Constable's representative.
Thereafter, having heard from the applicant and one objector the Board agreed to remove the consent for live music.
IV GRANT OF PROVISIONAL LICENCE
The Board were requested to delegate consideration of applications in terms of Section 27 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 1976 for the grant of Provisional Licence for temporary premises to be dealt with by the Chairman and one other Board member.
The Board agreed the above.
