I ARTS AND HERITAGE DEPARTMENT SERVICE PLAN 1999/2002

 

The Director of Arts and Heritage submitted Report No. 344-2001 on the Arts and Heritage Department's performance in relation to the 1999/2003 Service Plan.

 

The Committee noted the contents of the report.

 

II MAJOR PROJECT GRANTS AND SMALL PROJECT GRANTS

 

The Director of Arts and Heritage submitted Report No. 366-2001 seeking approval to award grants to a range of Arts and Heritage organisations.

 

The Committee authorised the payment of 400 for grants as detailed in the appendix to the report.

 

III DOUBLE TAKE: DUNDEE - 50 YEARS OF CHANGE

 

The Director of Arts and Heritage submitted Report no. 351-2001 informing the Committee of the exhibition "Double Take" and its supporting programme.

 

The Committee approved the contents of the report.

 

IV DUNDEE INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE LIMITED

 

The Director of Arts and Heritage submitted Report No. 365-2001 outlining the current financial position in relation to Dundee Industrial Heritage Limited (DIH).

 

The Committee -

 

(a)noted the current position regarding Dundee Industrial Heritage Limited as outlined in the report.

 

(b)remitted to the Director of Arts and Heritage to work with Dundee Industrial Heritage Limited to further develop a case to the Scottish Executive for financial support.

 

(c)remitted to the Director of Arts and Heritage and the Director of Finance to continue to work with Dundee Industrial Heritage Limited to progress a solution and report back to the Committee in due course.

 

(d)approve the grant funding of 26,000 for 2001 - 2002 as outlined in the report.
