I TIME OF PRE-MEETING

It was agreed that henceforth, the pre-meeting for the Licensing Board would be held at 9.30 am in a suitable venue.

II LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1976

THE EPIC GROUP (SCOTLAND) LTD, THE PARAMOUNT CLUB,

3 SESSION STREET

The Board, after hearing an Officer of the Environmental and Consumer Protection Department on concerns regarding food hygiene, agreed that a Section 32 Hearing be held.

III BETTING, GAMING AND LOTTERIES ACT 1963

(a) BETTING OFFICE LICENCE - NEW APPLICATION

The Board noted that an application by Mr Simeon Stewart for a Betting Office Licence in respect of 155/157 King Street, Broughty Ferry had been withdrawn.

(b) BOOKMAKER'S PERMIT - NEW APPLICATION

The Board noted that an application by Mr Simeon Stewart for a Bookmaker's Permit had been withdrawn.

IV LICENSING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1976

(a)APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL OF LICENCES (INCLUDING SUNDAY OPENING AND CHILDREN'S CERTIFICATES)

In the case of application number 3 by Belhaven Brewery Co Ltd in respect of 142/148 Perth Road, the Board, having heard the Environmental Health Officer, agreed that consideration of the application be remitted to the Adjourned Board.

In the case of application number 7 by Grant McFarlane Cunninghame in respect of Camperdown Leisure Complex, the Board noted that Councillors Letford and Mackie declared an interest and took no part in discussion thereof.

In the case of application number 9 by Paul Francis Eyles in respect of 58 Roseangle, the Board noted that the application had been withdrawn by the applicant.

In the case of application number 11 by First Quench Retailing Ltd in respect of 11 Union Street, the Board, having heard the Environmental Health Officer, agreed that consideration of the application be remitted to the Adjourned Board.

In the case of application number 17 by Margaret Isobella McNab in respect of 64/66 Bell Street, the Board agreed to withdraw the Children's Certificate.

In the case of application number 25 by Right Price Supermarkets Ltd in respect of 104 Fintry Road, the Board agreed that the application be granted subject to an inspection of the premises being carried out prior to their opening.

In the case of application number 26 by Loraine Roberts in respect of 195 Hilltown, the Board, having given consideration to observations submitted by the Environmental and Consumer Protection Department agreed to defer the application for renewal and agreed that a Section 32 Hearing be held to determine the application.

In the case of application number 27 by Paul Damian Savage in respect of 78 Victoria Road, the Board accepted a claim of inadvertence/misadventure and remitted consideration of the application to the Adjourned Board.

In the case of application number 34 by James H Symons relative to 1A Rattray Street, the Board, having heard an agent on behalf of the applicant, agreed that consideration of the application be remitted to the Adjourned Board.

In the case of application number 36 by Whitbread plc in respect of 7/9 Union Street, the Board, having heard the Environmental Health Officer, agreed that consideration of the application be remitted to the Adjourned Board.

There being no objections, the Board granted the remaining applications.

In the case of application number 26 by Lorraine Roberts in respect of 195 Hilltown, the Board, having given consideration to objections submitted by the Environmental and Consumer Protection Department agreed to defer the application for regular extension and agreed that a Section 32 Hearing be held to determine the application.
