I TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO THE DUNDEE FLOWER SHOW & FOOD FESTIVAL
The Director of Leisure & Parks reported that the Council had supported the Dundee Flower Show & Food Festival since 1986 with the show being administered by staff of the Leisure & Parks Department and various Horticultural Societies. This year's show would take place from 31st August to 2nd September, 2001.
The Committee agreed to support the show and to transfer 12,000 to the Show Committee.
II LOCHEE SWIMMING AND LEISURE CENTRE - ANNUAL CLOSURE
The Director of Leisure & Parks requested permission for the Centre to be closed from 4th - 17th June, 2001, both dates inclusive, to allow the annual equipment survey and essential maintenance programme.
The Committee approved accordingly.
III DUNDEE SPORTS ASSOCIATION FOR THE DISABLED - APPLICATION FOR GRANT
It was reported that a request had been received from the above Association (DSAD) in respect of a grant application for 1,000 to assist in the administration and operation of the Association.
The Committee approved a grant of 1,000.
The Committee resolved under Section 50(A)(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act, 1973 that the public and press be excluded from the meeting for the undernoted items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 6 and 9 of Part I of Schedule 7(A) of the Act.
IV CROWS NEST KIOSK, CAMPERDOWN PARK
It was reported that offers had been invited to lease the Crows Nest Kiosk in Camperdown Park for the summer season and one offer had been received from an interested party.
The Committee approved the offer and instructed the Director of Economic Development to conclude the necessary formalities.
V CAMPERDOWN RIDING STABLES - CAMPERDOWN PARK - LEASE
The Director of Leisure & Parks submitted Report No 231-2001 giving details of offers received for the lease of Camperdown Riding Stables.
The Committee agreed to accept the most advantageous offer and remitted to the Director of Economic Development to enter into a lease agreement for the facilities.
