Parades and Processions

Community Involvement

The Council must keepΒ a current list of notifications (32KB MS Word doc) and a list of held and prohibited processionsΒ (284KB MS Word doc). These arrangements are to allow the public to find out which marches happen regularly and which ones are likely to happen in the future in order that they can make representations if they wish to.

Should you wish to make representations to any of the notifications on the proposed list, please do so by email toΒ licensing.board@dundeecity.gov.ukΒ alternatively by post to the Head of Democratic & Legal Services, 21 City Square, Dundee, DD1 3BY.Β  Representations must be lodge within 14 days of the date of receipt of the notification.

Making a Notification

Organisers of processions need to give 28 days notice. The Council can either require a notification to go through the full processΒ (405KB PDF) on page 60Β or the fast track process.Β It is envisaged that the majority of notifications will be dealt with under the fast track process.

Consultation

The Council has a list of bodies (19.5KB MS Word doc) with which it will consult.

If you wish to be added to the list please send an email to licensing.board@dundeecity.gov.uk.Β  For further information on parades in Scotland please go to the Scottish Government website and search under marches and parades.
