(Please note that it is illegal for an applicant to approach a Board Member to canvass support for an application).

The Board comprises 10 members of the City Council and in 2008 will meet monthly. Applications must be lodged at least five weeks before each meeting. Police, Fire, Building Control and Environmental Health Officers will be asked for comments on most applications.

Planning permission must be in place prior to making an application to the Board.

The Board has regulations which must be adhered to when applying for a licence. All licences are granted subject to byelaws. Fees for all licences/permissions are set by the Scottish Government.
