Dundee City Council has adopted the Armed Forces Community Covenant to show our support for service personnel, veterans and their families.
In particular, our aim is to ensure that those who have left military service are aware of all the sources of information and advice - for example on housing, health, welfare and jobs which will help the transition to civilian life.
The Council has a legal duty to pay due regard to the principles of the Covenant when developing policies and making decisions in the areas of Education, Housing and Healthcare.
As part of our commitment to the Covenant, Dundee City Council has positive human resources policies and practices that are supportive of the armed forces. This has included advice and guidance to cadets looking for work experience; contact with the Forces' Career Transition Partnership to seek to work in partnership to support military personnel as they leave the armed forces; and support for Reservists.
Our local Army Reserve Infantry Unit - 7 Scots - has positions available for infantry, medics, clerks, chefs and musicians. If you are up for the challenge visit the 7 Scots Information page for more information.
