Increased consumption is approximately 13% above 2020/21 values. This comparison should be treated with caution as the pandemic and various responses has had a disruptive effect on energy management data collection, trends and analysis, including property useage. Nevertheless, understanding the cause of this increase is essential to achieving our Climate Change and avoidable cost commitments. 85% of the increase can be attributed to 8 properties plus Olympia and Dundee House. It should also be noted that occupied schools have increased their consumption 3.3 MW in the last 12 months. Investigations are ongoing to ascertaining the cause of the increase. It is early in theses investigation but it is already clear that there is more than one cause.
