Discover Work Jobs Fair20/09/19
JOBSEEKERS and people looking for training opportunities are being encouraged to head for the Caird Hall next week.
More than 50 employers with current vacancies and training providers including Skills Development Scotland and Business Gateway will be at the Discover Work Jobs Fair on Thursday (September 26).
A team led by Dundee City Council, with support from Dundee and Angus College, Skills Development Scotland, Department for Work and Pensions and Developing the Young Workforce Dundee and Angus, are behind the event.
Alan Ross convener of Dundee City Council’s city development committee, who will officially open the Jobs and Skills Fair said: “This is a large-scale event attracting top local and national employers with good quality jobs available to the right candidates right now.
“Anyone looking for work can meet directly with these employers and kick-start the process of getting back into employment.
“In addition there will also be almost two dozen training providers who can discuss how to help you equip yourself with the skills you’ll need to get a job.”
Open to the public from 11.30am to 4pm and free to enter, the Jobs and Training Fair will also be attended by pupils from a number of Dundee secondary schools to find out what is on offer for them when they leave school.
