This particular roll out of external wall insulation project comprises of 394 properties with a client contribution for 371 tenanted properties.
Nearly £6m worth of work will see external wall insulation being installed into council properties in Dryburgh, Douglas & Angus, and St Mary’s.
Neighbourhood Services Convener Kevin Cordell said: “We understand and appreciate the desire of tenants to continue to see improvements in the housing stock, particularly around external wall insulations.
“The latest roll out of external wall insulation illustrates the level of investment we are committed to making and builds on our impressive record thus far in creating warmer homes across the city.
The balance of funding for the External Wall Insulation – Home Energy Efficiency Programme for Scotland will be met from Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and Home Energy Efficiency Programme Scotland – Area Based Schemes (HEEPS – ABS) funding.
