Flower and Food Festival tickets on sale14/06/17
A FEAST of entertainment, colourful blooms and familiar faces from the TV will all feature in this year’s Dundee Flower and Food Festival, tickets for which are on sale today (WEDNESDAY).
Special guests over the weekend of Friday September 1 to Sunday September 3 include Gary Maclean winner of Masterchef: The Professionals 2016; legendary Scottish celebrity chef Nick Nairn, spicy chef and restaurateur Tony Singh and hardy perennial gardening guru Jim McColl.
Kevin Cordell convener of Dundee City Council’s neighbourhood services committee who was at the City Square to launch the sale of early bird tickets said: “Every year we work hard to bring discerning food fans and flower lovers from across Scotland and beyond a programme of cookery and gardening demonstrations, stunning floral displays and inspirational ideas for home and garden.
“This year is no exception and when you consider the great range of quality food and drink produce, with a chance to 'try before you buy’ at the numerous trade stands along with the craft, food, flowers, Woodlands4Yew marquee and children's activities, it’s a great day out for everyone.
“The competition flower show is the largest in Scotland with over 100 trophies available to be won, including the Lord Provost’s Trophy and this year the Festival will be hosting the British Begonia 12 Board Championships and the Scottish National Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Show.”
