A report on progress of the Kingspark School Action Plan will be reported to the city council’s children and families service committee on Monday (January 23).

Members of the committee will be told that “many of the outcomes had been achieved and there were robust processes in place to sustain improvement planning”.

The Dundee Child Car and Protection Committee is also satisfied with the actions being taken towards securing improvements.

Children and families service convener Councillor Stewart Hunter said: “The action plan was recommended by an independent review which reported nearly three years ago.

“There have been regular reports to the education committee and now the children and families service committee.

“I am pleased to note progress and the action plan’s continuing focus on child protection.

“This is credit to the hard work of everyone connected with Kingspark School.”
